Midt Finnmark Siida is a Sámi Tourism Business established in 2018. Our purpose for this business is that we want to show our guests the Sámi culture – from old traditions to new approaches in both culture and reindeer husbandry.
We are a family consisting of five people. Nils Jovnna, Heidi Kamilla and our three children – Tor Ailu, John Adrian and Karen Lovise. Nils Jovnna and Heidi Kamilla are the host of the activities we offer.
Reindeer husbandry is our livelihood and it’s something we do on a daily basis. It’s a rewarding lifestyle where we are close to nature and our reindeer herd throughout all seasons.
We are divided into two municipalities in Norway’s most northern county, Finnmark. During autumn/winter we are stationed in Karasjok municipality. During spring/summer we are stationed in Porsanger municipality.
Because of different locations throughout the year, we offer our guests different experiences depending on season. Summer and winter activities are similar – but during winter we equip our reindeer with harness and sleighs so you can get a sleigh ride under dancing northen lights.
